Crispy Garlic Parmesan Brussels Sprouts

Add ‘crispy’ to just about anything and it immediately sounds more appetizing.  So adding crispy plus garlic and parmesan to brussels sprouts and you’ve immediately piqued my interest. With just a little extra seasoning this is an easy way to liven up regular roasted brussels sprouts and make a side dish the star of your dinner.  Simply slice the sprouts, toss together the breadcrumbs and seasoning, roast and in 30 minutes dinner is ready!

Crispy Garlic Parmesan Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound brussels sprouts
  • 2 Tablespoons Breadcrumbs
  • 2 Tablespoons Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 Teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 Teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 Tablespoon butter
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees, take out a baking sheet and line with foil if desired
  • Slice the brussels sprouts into halves or thirds, depending on size and cut off ends if necessary
  • Place the sprouts in a bowl and set aside
  • Mix the bread crumbs, cheese, garlic and onion powders together in a small bowl and set aside
  • Melt the butter and mix with the olive oil
  • Pour the oil and butter mixture over the brussels sprouts and toss to make sure they are fully coated
  • Toss the spice and breadcrumb mixture over the sprouts and mix well to ensure they are fully coated
  • Further season with salt and pepper if desired
  • Spread the sprouts evenly on the baking sheet
  • Roast in the oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until fully cooked and crispy - the edges with start to wither a bit
  • Serve Hot
