Savory Oven-Baked Brie

Cheese, it should really be its own food group.  I love cheese and it’s even better when hot and melty right out of the oven!  Appetizer or side with steak. For Steak recipes, check out our post on how to get the perfect steak

This is an easy recipe to jazz up the typical boring cold cheese plate!

Savory Oven-Baked Brie

Ingredients

  • 1 8 or 9 oz. round of Brie or Camembert cheese
  • 1 Clove garlic minced
  • 2 Tablespoons fresh rosemary or parsley coarsely chopped
  • 2 oz. pecans or walnuts coarsely chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  • Place the cheese on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper or in a small nonstick baking dish lightly sprayed with cooking spray. I used a pie plate.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the garlic, herbs and nuts with the olive oil. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Place the herb and nut mixture on top of the cheese and bake for 10 minutes or until cheese is warm and soft and the nuts are toasted.
  • Serve warm or lukewarm with crostini or as an amazing accompaniment to steak!
