Baguette French Toast

Spread the love

I’ve always loved fresh toast, but baguette french toast only became a thing when my husband started picking up a fresh loaf on our weekly grocery trip.  Baguettes are awesome, but they can go stale overnight.  One of the best ways to re-purpose an extra crusty baguette is by turning it into french toast.  Crusty bread is always best for french toast because it really soaks up the egg mixture and you get that nice custardy center.  Baguette french toast is also great because the rounds are so small and it cooks quickly!  Simple, tasty and adorably cute, baguette french toast will be your new favorite brunch and breakfast trick!

  • Place the baguette slices in the bowl and allow them to soak up the egg liquid fully
  • While the baguette slices are soaking heat the butter in a skillet on medium heat
  • Once the butter is melted and bubbly start placing the sliced baguette rounds in the pan, be careful not to overcrowd the pan, you can do this in rounds
