This might be one of the easiest recipes I’ve ever posted. So easy in fact it doesn’t even seem like a recipe, but it was just so tasty I felt the need to share! I love everything bagels, so I had to try Trader Joes ‘Everything But the Bagel’ seasoning, but didn’t plan what I’d try it on. While I was planning my lunches for the week I looked in my spice cupboard, pondering what to do with the chicken breast I had in the fridge. Plain grilled chicken is ok, but I wanted something more interesting that I’d be looking forward to eating during the week. I spotted the everything seasoning and knew that was the answer! A simple coating of the seasoning on plain chicken breast but into tenders, what could be better. I cooked up the tenders in a touch of oil in my non-stick pans and voila an easy, incredibly flavorful lunch! It also smelled amazing while it was cooking!
‘Everything’ Bagel Chicken
Ingredients
- 1 Pound skinless chicken breast cut into tenders
- ½ Bottle Trader Joes ‘Everything But the Bagel’ seasoning
- 1 Tablespoon oil
Instructions
- Cut your chicken breast into tenders, pat dry and set aside
- It's important to pat the tenders dry so that the seasoning sticks and there isn't too much moisture in the pan while they cook. If there is too much moisture the tenders wont get a nice crisp texture on the outside.
- Place your seasoning in bowl for coating your tenders
- Heat your tablespoon of oil in a saute pan over medium heat
- Coat your tenders in the everything seasoning
- Place your tenders in the pan in batches
- Cook your tenders in the pan; flip the tenders when the edges begin to become opaque, roughly 5 minutes per side
- Make sure to cook fully, the outside should achieve a slightly browned color
