There is nothing more refreshing than Blueberry Lemonade on a hot summer day. Why add blueberries to a classic lemonade? It reduces the dryness of regular lemonade, and adds flavor without adding sweetness. The added complexity of blueberries makes this drink a little more robust and gives off mock-tail vibes! Blueberry Lemonade
Ingredients
- 1 cup Water
- ¾ cup sugar
- 6 oz Blueberries
- 4 cups water
- 1 ¼ cup lemon juice
- Ice as much as desired in the drinks
- Blueberries and Lemon Slices for garnish
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine Blueberries 1 cup water and sugar and cook for 7 mins or until blueberries burst and break apart. Then mash the blueberries in the pot with a large spoon or a masher.
- Strain mixture through a fine mesh into the pitcher to squeeze the juice from the berries.
- Stir in 4 cups of water, and lemon juice.
- Serve over ice and garnish with a slice of lemon and some blueberries.
