Cheeseburger Burrito

Spread the love

I was craving a summer burger but it was a rainy day and I didn’t have the time to form patties nor did I have the gusto to go out in the rain and fire up the grill. So instead I thought I would take the ground beef and make a cheeseburger burrito instead. It’s a relatively intuitive recipe, its just a deconstructed burger wrapped up like a burrito. The secret is adding the cheese to the ground beef so it doesn’t crumble too much in the wrap.

Ingredients

  • Large Tortillas
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Pinch of pepper
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese
  • Lettuce
  • 1 large Tomato sliced
  • ½ of a Red Onion sliced
  • 2 Pickles

Instructions

  • Toast the tortilla in a large frying pan, then set aside
  • In a large skillet on medium high heat, combine the ground beef, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Cook until the beef browns. Add in half of the cheese and melt it into the ground beef
  • Place your Tortilla on a plate then add in the filling. Take a scoop of the cheesy beef, then sprinkle some more cheese on top, add lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickle and ketchup to your liking
  • Once you have all the fillings in place, pull the bottom half of the burrito over to meet the top half. Then, pull the tortilla back. This will form the filling into a roll. Next fold one side in, then the other side. With both ends folded, tightly roll your tortilla until you have a burrito
