Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cupcakes

Spread the love

I used to love eating raw cookie dough and any dessert that had cookie dough in it. Im not sure if I have ever met some who didnt like Cookie Dough. Which is why both the cupcakes and frosting are both cookie dough flavored. You can never have too much ! These have been a hit at parties. But honestly its hard not eat them all before the party!

Is it safe to eat these cookie dough cupcakes? YES. Of course!  The risk with eating raw batter is the potential for contamination from both the eggs and flour. Raw Eggs contain salmonella which could lead to food poisoning, while with raw flour you run the risk of contamination with E. Coli as it is not cooked and still a raw grain. The eggs and flour in the cupcakes are fully baked so they are safe to eat. For the flour in the frosting we recommend you bake the raw flour on its own for 10-15 mins in the oven prior to adding to the frosting to kill any potential E. Coli.

To Frost the cupcakes I made the frosting without adding in the chocolate chips, this made it smoother to pipe. I used a wilton tip 2D to pipe the frosting then placed the chocolate chips on top. I also adorned with half a cookie
